If you are have a day camp, sports camp or an associational camp have a nurse from your church or community available.  Make yourself available when you learn of local camps.  Resources available to serve your best in a camp setting are: American Camp Association, www.acacamps.org and Association of Camp Nursing, www.campnurse.org.  The Association of Camp Nursing has a newsletter that keeps you updated.  A must resource to establish policy and procedures for camps is the book The Basics of Camp Nursing, Linda Ebner Erceg, RN, MS, PHN and Myra Pravda RN, MSN.

BNF has been active in helping with camp nursing at Angel Tree Camp sponsored by the Baptist Convention of PA/SJ .
