Demographics

To plant a successful church, one must know all one can about the area around the church, and specifically, the people who live in that area. The Missions Team is ready to provide our churches with the demographic and psychographic information they need.

The North American Mission Board provides free demographic reports here.

FirstView from Percept (6 pages) return to top

    The First View Reports are provided by Percept. They are free to our churches and very helpful
    if you want some preliminary demographics. They can be accessed on Link2lead.com, with a
    username and password.

To Register:
    1. Go to: http://www.link2lead.com
    From here you can register your church.  Each church can have several individuals register,

    that way if there are several pastors at a church they can all have their own account.

    2. On the lefthand menu, click on the getting oriented link which will explain about

    the six different sections (each has a tab up at the top of the site).



    3. Click on the register link. You can read through all of that if you like and when you

    are done there is a link at the bottom of the page that says start registration.

    4. Select denomination (Southern Baptist), then select the regional body (Baptist convention

    of PA-SJ), then you select your city (example: Harrisburg) and church (example: East

    Shore Baptist Church). There is a brief form you fill out with your name and email address.

    To access a FirstView Report:

    1. start by clicking on the My Community tab at the top of the page.

    2. click the link at the bottom that says Select your study area

    3. From here you can run the report by zipcode or county, OR you can select the link at the

    right that says FirstView Maker to select a custom area by multiple zip codes, radius, or a

    polygon.



    There are several surveys and reports throughout the site that may be of help as well.

    Most everything on the site is free, however, it is important to note that the

    Ministry Area Profiles and the Context reports are NOT free.
