How do I reserve a room or rooms at the Volunteer House?
To reserve a room complete a request form and speak to the volunteer house representative.
What do I need to bring for my stay at the Volunteer House?
You do not need to bring bedding or towels, as that is provided during your stay. You do need to bring toiletries and money for laundry if you are a long-term guest (aprox. $1.00/load). You are welcome to use the kitchen facilities; please remember that you must provide your own food. Long-term guests or residents should also bring anything they think they may need everyday, such as a laptop computer (wireless internet access is provided), seasonal clothing, and proper transportation.
Is there a deposit?
To confirm your reservation, we will take a deposit of $10 that will be applied to the cost of the room(s). You will pay the difference at the conclusion of your stay.
Is my deposit refundable?
Your deposit is refundable until a week before your scheduled stay. Please contact us at 717-652-5856 X26 if you need to cancel your reservation and in order to receive a refund.
What if the house is full during the time I wish to stay?
If the house is full during the time you wish to stay, we will put you on a waiting list. If a cancellation occurs, we will contact you.
