John Richardson, Youth/Recreation Evangelism Associate
Rev. John Richardson, a North American Missionary, is the Youth and Recreation Evangelism Associate for the Baptist Convention of Penn/South Jersey. He has been serving with the convention since March of 2006. His passions include youth evangelism, leadership training, youth discipleship, and sports and recreation evangelism. John directs the yearly Youth Evangelism conferences as well as promoting other youth events and sports evangelism programs around the convention.
His past includes over 20 years of experience in youth ministry serving on staff in churches in Alaska, Oregon, Kansas City, and Texas. He has also been involved in many different forms of missions such as leading foreign mission trips, and also local and statewide mission programs. John has also led and spoken at several youth rallies, retreats, camps and youth leadership training events.
John was born in Midland, Michigan, but grew up mostly in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. John then completed a Masters in Religious Education at Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.
John is married to Debra Richardson, a clinical nurse manager and missionary kid from Kenya and Tanzania, and has two sons, David and Chris. |
